How one program is ensuring cancer survivors have support for the long term

dr. Zoann Dreyer of Texas Children’s Hospital explains how cancer survivors are at risk for delayed side effects from treatment.

A program the hospital established in 1988 helps ensure that each patient is supported in the long term.

“We’re here with our social workers and our financial advisors and our health care providers to really give (patients) a home… not just for (for) medical problems, but for social problems as well,” Dreyer said.
